Get Ready for a Global Financial Strategy
Getting ready to have fun is as simple as familiarizing yourself together with the rules and inserting two AA batteries (not integrated) into the banker unit. Even though the electronic unit does all the hard work, you'll still want to assign one player to be the banker. This person will be in charge of handling the banker unit, the title deed cards, houses, hotels, and deals throughout the strategy. Every player will want to pick a mover piece and a monopoly credit card before the strategy begins.

The rules of have fun are neat. On every turn, a player rolls the dice and moves this number of squares. When you land on an open property, you have the option to buy it. If another player owns the property, you'll have to pay them rent. Exclusive spaces agree to you to illustrate a community chest or chance card, require you to pay taxes, or send you jail. One time you own all the properties in a color group, you can build houses and hotels on them, increasing their value. Options like mortgaging property or trading it to your creditors keep the strategy interesting if you begin running out of cash.

Traditionally, the strategy continues until only one player remains. However, the instructions in addition propose options for speeding the strategy along. You may appreciate playing for a set amount of time, since the world record for the longest Monopoly is 70 days!

Distinctive Pieces Get the World of Monopoly up to Speed
Here and Now: The World Edition of Monopoly features cities from all-around across the globe, counting New York, London, Shanghai, and Istanbul. Before the strategy was produced, millions of people from all over the world voted on which cities should be integrated. Every property space is completed together with a colorful photograph, which makes the board itself a distinctive centerpiece and dialog starter. Traditional utilities and railroads have been replaced together with modern transportation options and renewable energy sources, such as wind and solar power.

Six movers are chosen at random from the 24 available pieces for inclusion in every strategy. You might locate a windmill, a soccer ball, or a kangaroo in your set. Similarly, the houses and hotels have been updated to reflect international structures. Another nice touch is the community chest and chance cards featuring fast "Did you recognize?" facts. These let you study tidbits concerning Rio Carnival, Munich's traditional Christmas market, the earliest British "passport," and extra while you have fun.

Electronic Banking Comes to the Monopoly World
Perhaps the biggest addition to this version is electronic money management. The banker unit proposes two slots--one for paying money and one for receiving money. You'll have to keep tabs on the millions (M) and thousands (K) when entering numbers, and do sure every card is inserted correctly, but overall, the unit makes handling transactions simple. It in addition makes taking a break from a strategy and coming back to it later neat by saving player information until you clear it.

Another exciting aspect of the electronic unit is the way it monitors deals. If a player lands on an unowned property and doesn't would like to buy it for the asking cost, then the banker must auction this property to the highest bidder. The deal button on the banker unit by chance times every auction, so players don't recognize if they have 13 or 50 seconds to try and outsmart other bidders.

All these features ensure this this edition will be a big a hit together with new and veteran Monopoly players alike, making it a excellent pick for strategy night.

The family and I have great fun playing this modern Monopoly game. It's so much easier for the kids to understand and that makes playing more fun. I highly recommend this game.

I like this game it goes a lot faster than having money all about, but if you want to teach your kids money or whatever the electronic credit cards takes that away. I It is interesting to have the "world" places on the board. If you like Monopoly you will like this one!
Customer rating is 5 of 5  Back to the simple things in life!   2010-03-12

We first played the Here and Now version while visiting family in Virginia during the February snow storm (we live in Louisiana- imagine that!). This version is so much fun!! We purchased it for our family days after arriving back home from Virginia. The electronic credi/debit card makes the money exchange so much easier and faster than the original version with the paper money. Also the high dollar amount on the debit/credit card and the high dollar property value makes this version interesting. We have actually researched d information on various countries on the monopoly board, so it is educational in that aspect as well. We look forward to playing and have set aside Family Game Night..even our 17 year old likes to play with us. He has also played it with his friends when they visit. Our son will soon be leaving for college and my husband and I often look at each other and smile as we acknowledged how special our family moments are together...thanks Monopoly! Our 17 year old son and 9 year old daughter continue to find wonderful ways to stay connected and this game has only enhanced that connection. We have also played with friends when they visit and several have purchased this product for their families as well!
Enjoy!! You won't be disappointed.
Customer rating is 3 of 5  I miss the old monopoly   2010-02-03
By icangal (Houston, Texas)
It was fun to play. The technique is still the same but I miss counting the money and teaching my children how to make change. It is very fast paced and tech-savvy which made it fun but with the machine doing so much, I think we all got bored that much faster.
Customer rating is 5 of 5  This Monopoly Rocks!   2010-01-31
By Hawaii Teacher (Hawaii)
We have had fun as a family playing this game. Our kids are 13 & 16 respectively and used to play the traditional game as kids. This one is much more "real life" in that it is paperless and the monetary transfers are automatic (using credit cards). The properties, price tags and utilities are up to date as are the situations in Chance & Community Chest -- definitely a 21st century game.
